The *.AIF file format contains all essential information required to reproduce the original adsorption data. Example files can be found here.
The file format is editable and relies on standardized terms specifying instrument, operator, desolvation information and for each data point units can be freely defined.
Most manufacturers of adsorption instruments have already implemented this file format as an output option in their new software release.
